结束用英语口语怎么说（二）

三、finish

　　通常finish表示完成了…事情，它的名词也表示结束，终止。finish+doing sth. 表示结束做某事。多指结束一件大事里的小部分工作，圆满地结束或完成着手的事情。常用的词组有finish line(终点线)，finish up(彻底完成)等等。

　　1.I have finished the first part of my paper, but I don’t know how to continue it.

　　我已经完成了我的论文部分，但是我不知道该如何继续下去。

　　2.We spent three days to finish this complex experiment.

　　我们花了三天才完成这项复杂的实验。

四、terminate

　　terminate多强调因时间和空间的限制而终止，到了一定时间必须终止，是一个书面用语。比如通知了九点到十一点开会，会议就必须在十一点结束，就用terminate。另外，terminate还有解雇的意思，比如She was termined in last month. 她上个月被解雇了。

　　1.We will not terminate contract untill the deadline.

　　只有到达期我们才会终止合同。

　　2.The plane will terminate at Melbourne, Australia.

　　这架飞机的终点站是澳大利亚，墨尔本。

五、conclude

　　这个词比较正式，多指因为某事或者某个活动达到了预期目的而告终，比如conclude an agreement指达成协议。conclude也有作结论、决定的意思。英语作文中经常会用到类似To conclude......、In conclusion.......等词组表示较后总结，较后结论。

　　1.We conclude our meeting with Miss.Wang’s speech.

　　我们以王小姐的演讲结束了会议。

　　2.This movie concludes with the apart of leading actor and leading actress.

　　这部电影以男女主角的分开结束。
